Welcome to RoboMind.net
the new introduction to programming

RoboMind is software specifically developed to support technology education. By programming a robot, students learn about logic, computer science and robotics. The beauty of RoboMind is the compactness of the learning environment. It directly connects logical thinking to solving challenges encountered in daily life and industry. RoboMind is used all over the world. But don’t take our word for it and try it out yourself for free!

To program the robot a new programming language 'ROBO' has been developed. It is a concise language with a small set of rules which require no foreknowledge. This way students can start with RoboMind right away. Although ROBO is a concise language it still leaves plenty of room to make interesting programs. The programming principles used thereby lay at the heart of most other programming languages.

Technology education

RoboMind can be used for science and technology projects at primary schools, secondary schools and further education. It is also very suitable for learning about problem solving and logical thinking. Topics which are often not very well covered in educational programs. Another possibility of RoboMind is to show how theoretical aspects from logic and computer science can be used to solve practical problems in science and industry. As such it is an excellent tool for schools that want to be outstanding in technology education.

Some nice features and advantages of RoboMind are:

  • Start right away, more »
  • Learning by discovery with online docs, more »
  • Technology introduction for everyone, more »
  • LEGO Mindstorms NXT support, more »
    Lego NXT bot
  • Platform independence: RoboMind runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OSX
    windowslinux mac os

"Ideal for Year 7 and a must for anyone who wishes to introduce the disciplines of computational thinking at an early stage."

"... The beauty of RoboMind is the Compactness of the application where boundaries are tightened so that students can apply their algorithmic thinking to problem solving without using large amounts of time considering aesthetic design."

— in Computing at School Newsletter

"I can think of no other body of practice / approach to teaching and learning that is more perfect for today's students than Robotics. [...] Here's an item this morning's surfing turned up. Looks like a gem waiting to be discovered by the world of Education."

Mark Gura

"Look, I programmed a robot that has a will on its own! It totally doesn't do what I want!"
